Information: The U.S. and Australia collaborate in many areas, including researching our oceans. The U.S. Consulate Perth celebrated World Oceans Day 2020 with a virtual event featuring Edith Cowan University (ECU)'s Oscar Serrano (speaking from Shark Bay, Western Australia) & Florida International University's James Fourqurean (Miami, Florida). They shared insights on blue carbon research, including U.S.-Australia collaboration to estimate the levels in Australia with a particular focus on seagrass. They also had great advice for young researchers.
