The Wdowinski Lab for Geodesy Research is a research group directed by Dr. Shimon Wdowinski within the Institute of Environment at Florida International University.
The lab's state-of-the-art research techniques include synthetic aperture radar (SAR), interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR), global positioning system (GPS), and ground-based light detection and ranging (LiDAR). These techniques are applied to quantify and evaluate changes in the Earth's land and water surfaces.
Some of the projects that we are currently working on include:
- Subsidence in Mexico
- Sinkhole activities in central Florida
- Wetland hydrology
- Sea-level rise
